Train in Ivano-Frankivsk region stopped due to an anonymous call: what happened

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the train 'Chernivtsi - Ivano-Frankivsk - Zaporizhzhia' was stopped at the 'Burshtyn' station due to a bomb threat notification. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.


The train's movement was halted around 17:00, and passengers were moved to safe locations. Bomb disposal experts, dog handlers with service dogs, and other relevant services were working at the scene.



Police conducted an inspection of the train's exterior and inside the carriages. No explosive items were found. The train returned to its usual schedule.


It is worth noting that on October 11, in the morning, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' received notifications about bomb threats involving three long-distance trains.


As reported, despite the power outages across the country, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' trains are operating with minimal schedule deviations.


Earlier, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' opened ticket sales for a new international train Kyiv - Bucharest. From October 10, it will operate daily, connecting Ukraine and Romania.



During the movement of the train 'Chernivtsi - Ivano-Frankivsk - Zaporizhzhia' at the 'Burshtyn' station, a bomb threat notification was received, causing its temporary stop. The police inspected the carriages and confirmed that no suspicious items were found, allowing the train to continue its journey. At this time, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' is also implementing new routes, including the international train Kyiv - Bucharest.
