Investigative Steps Involving Andriy Yermak

On May 11, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) are conducting investigative procedures with Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Presidential Office. The primary goal is to gain access to Yermak's mobile phone. This development comes six months after the so-called 'MindichGate' scandal first emerged.

The operation is taking place near the Palace of Sports, where, according to reports, Yermak has set up a personal gym. This information was confirmed by lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who posted about the event on his Telegram channel 'Iron Deputy' at 8:03 PM. He remarked:

'Could this day finally be here? It looks like NABU is working with someone... who strongly resembles a certain big shot.' Yaroslav Zheleznyak

However, Zheleznyak also clarified: 'Let me note right away that there is no confirmation of any charges yet. This might just be a search.'

Lawmakers React

Another deputy, Oleksiy Honcharenko, commented on the unusual setting of the investigative actions: 'NABU has visited Yermak. They are conducting investigative procedures. What’s interesting is the location. It’s all happening near the Palace of Sports. As we recall, that’s where Yermak set up his gym and watched the film “Gentlemen of Luck.”'

These investigative steps involving Andriy Yermak have sparked significant public interest, especially amid the ongoing 'MindichGate' investigation.

The proceedings against the former head of the Presidential Office occur against a backdrop of heightened public scrutiny of anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine. It is worth noting that such actions may signal an intensification of work by anti-corruption bodies, a critical component in the country’s fight against corruption. Meanwhile, the 'MindichGate' probe has already captured public attention, and subsequent developments could shape Ukraine’s political landscape.
