The Economic Impact of NABU and SAPO

Over the past five years, Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have recovered nearly 22 billion hryvnias for the state. This substantial financial recovery demonstrates the significant impact these agencies have on Ukraine's financial stability and its ongoing fight against corruption.

In 2025 alone, the economic effect of their work amounted to at least 6.5 billion hryvnias. To put this figure into perspective, this sum could purchase over 600,000 FPV drones, illustrating the significant potential for these recovered funds to be effectively deployed across various critical sectors. These anti-corruption bodies continue their operations, implementing measures to improve the country's financial situation.

The Critical Role of Anti-Corruption Institutions

The importance of NABU and SAPO's work is underscored not only by economic metrics but also by their influence on the overall rule of law in Ukraine. The return of significant funds to the state budget can facilitate the implementation of vital social projects and strengthen public trust in government institutions.

In a context where many economic sectors face funding shortages, an effective fight against corruption remains a priority for the country's stability and development. These efforts are crucial for Ukraine's resilience and its path toward European integration.
