Ukrainian National Cashback Program to Distribute February Payments to Over 4.4 Million Citizens

Уряд України запроваджує нову програму кешбеку, яка забезпечить виплати понад 4,4 мільйонам українців у лютому.

New Phase of National Cashback Program Payments Begins

The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture has launched the latest payment round for the 'National Cashback' initiative. More than 4.4 million Ukrainians who purchased domestically produced goods in February will receive funds. The February rebate was calculated at a fixed rate of 10%. Since March 1st, the program has operated under a revised, tiered model with two cashback levels. The maximum monthly payout per person is 3,000 hryvnias. This program is part of a broader government effort to stimulate the domestic economy during a challenging period.

As of April 5th, 1.3 million Ukrainians have utilized the fuel cashback scheme. The fuel rebate program will remain active until May 1, 2026. The cashback rates for fuel are set at 15% for diesel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for autogas. The Ministry of Economy noted that 'the program continues to scale and reach millions of Ukrainians, stimulating demand for the products of local manufacturers.'

Product Categories and Their Rebate Rates

The 'National Cashback' program also covers various product categories with different rebate percentages. For example:

  • Goods with a 15% cashback: Cosmetics and hygiene products, household chemicals, home goods, repair and construction materials, as well as clothing and footwear.
  • Goods with a 5% cashback: Sweets, non-alcoholic beverages, pharmaceutical products, vegetables and fruits, fish and seafood, and dairy products excluding cheeses.

The accrued funds can be used for various purposes, including utility and mobile phone bills, transport tickets and medical services, donations to charitable foundations, or the purchase of military bonds. It is important to note that the program aims to support domestic production and the economy as a whole.

The 'National Cashback' program serves as a vital tool for bolstering the local economy, as it incentivizes consumer demand for Ukrainian-made goods.

The implementation of varied cashback tiers is designed to enhance the appeal of purchasing specific product categories, which may positively impact producers. Given the program's extension to 2026, further development and adaptation of its terms can be expected, likely increasing participation among Ukrainian citizens.

As the National Cashback program continues to expand, some participants may encounter issues with their fuel rebate funds.
