The Ukrainian gas transportation company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine', which services 98% of consumers in the country, is introducing new approaches to dealing with debtors. Now even the smallest debts can lead to a termination of gas supply to the homes of Ukrainians. This was reported by journalist Irina Polyakova.

Naftogaz of Ukraine is becoming stricter with debtors. From now on, even small debts can become a reason for gas disconnection. This determination from the company is a radical change in approaches to the problem of debtors. Previously, such small amounts did not provoke serious reactions, but now the new rules entail strengthening control over consumer payments.

The main criterion for disconnection will be the overdue period of the debt, not its size. Consumers are required to adhere to clearly established payment deadlines: for gas distribution by the 20th of the month, and for gas supply by the 25th of the following month. If the deadlines are violated by more than 10 days, gas workers will have the right to disconnect gas to the consumer's residence.

The criterion for gas disconnection will be a delay in payment, not the amount of debt itself. It is important to timely pay off the gas debt: for its distribution - by the 20th of the month, for supply - by the 25th of the following month. If these deadlines are violated by more than 10 days, the company will have the right to disconnect gas.

It is important to note that the disconnection procedure will not be spontaneous. According to lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan, consumers will receive written notice of the planned disconnection 10 days in advance. This document will detail the reason for disconnection, the amount of debt, and the date of disconnection. This allows people to resolve their financial issues before the disconnection.

Naftogaz of Ukraine introduces new rules for debtors, with the main criterion being the overdue payment period, not its amount. Control over payment discipline is becoming tighter, and from now on, even minor debts can have serious consequences for gas consumers.
