The State Border Guard Service has recorded a significant number of attempts at illegal border crossing, particularly the most cases occur at the border with Romania. The second highest in this indicator is the border with Moldova, while the fewest attempts occur at the border with Poland. This data was announced by the State Border Guard Service representative Andriy Demchenko during a briefing at Ukrinform.
'We record the most such cases at the border with Romania. The second is the border with Moldova. On other sections, such attempts occur somewhat less frequently - primarily the border with Hungary and Slovakia. And the fewest attempts at illegal border crossing outside of checkpoints occur at the border with Poland', said Demchenko.
Attempts to Leave Ukraine with Forged Documents
In addition to attempts to cross the border outside of checkpoints, up to 10 individuals daily attempt to leave Ukraine using forged documents. According to the spokesperson, such actions entail criminal liability, and violators are handed over for consideration by law enforcement. Meanwhile, only administrative liability is provided for those who attempted to cross the border outside of checkpoints.
The State Border Guard Service continues to detect and prevent attempts at illegal border crossing, which is why it is important to remember the responsibility for violating the law, especially regarding the use of forged documents or illegal border crossings outside of checkpoints.
