Novorossiysk resumed oil exports after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: details of the attack

Після атаки Збройних сил України, Новий Олександрівськ відновив експорт нафти: нові подробиці інциденту.

Russian port 'Novorossiysk' resumed oil loading

After two days of halting operations due to a missile strike and drone attacks from Ukraine, the Russian port 'Novorossiysk' has begun working again. According to Reuters, two sources in the oil industry confirmed this information, previously reported by 'Glavkom'.

The port 'Novorossiysk' together with the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal was the reason for the temporary suspension of oil exports on November 14. This accounts for 2% of global supplies, or 2.2 million barrels per day.

Journalists noted that the port 'Novorossiysk' plays an important role in Russian oil exports. A prolonged suspension of its operations could lead to the closure of oil wells in Western Siberia, which would reduce supply volumes to global markets.

Ukraine's most destructive attack on Russia's oil infrastructure

The agency emphasized that the strike on the port 'Novorossiysk', the main export hub of Russia in the Black Sea, is Ukraine's most destructive attack on Russian oil infrastructure in this region.

Special forces 'Alpha' of the SBU along with other military units of Ukraine conducted a special operation at the oil terminal of the port 'Novorossiysk', which caused damage and a fire at the site. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the successful use of 'Long Neptune' on Russian territory.

After the missile strike and drone attack from Ukraine, the port 'Novorossiysk' resumed operations. This is an important event as the port plays a significant role in Russian oil exports. A longer interruption may have serious consequences for supplies to global markets.
