Yesterday, a meeting took place between representatives of Ukraine and Norway regarding humanitarian mine clearance. The Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Oleksiy Migrin, met with the Minister of International Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Asmund Grøver, along with representatives from the embassy and the organization Norwegian People's Aid (NPA).
During their visit to the Mobile Rescue Center 'Sumy', they reviewed the results of a joint project aimed at enhancing capabilities in humanitarian mine clearance using mine detection dogs.
'The issue of mine clearance remains extremely relevant, as the safety of the civilian population depends on it,' emphasized Oleksiy Migrin.
The assistance of the Norwegian government and the NPA organization plays an important role in humanitarian mine clearance using mine detection dogs, allowing for significant successes to be achieved.
During the meeting, common priorities were discussed, and gratitude was expressed to the government and people of Norway for their important support, which helps save lives in Ukraine.
Ukrainian and Norwegian representatives agreed that joint work in humanitarian mine clearance is essential for ensuring safety and protecting the population.
