Highlights from the 50 Top Pizza Awards
Leading the prestigious 50 Top Pizza global list is Napoli on the Road, a London-based pizzeria founded by Michele Pascarello. Starting a decade ago as a modest three-wheeled motor van, this pizzeria has risen to dominate Europe’s pizza scene over the past three years and now holds the world’s top spot for pizza excellence. In 2023, Michele Pascarello was also named the best pizzaiolo worldwide.
Taking second place is Una Pizza Napoletana from New York, led by chef Anthony Mangieri. The full list honors 100 exceptional pizzerias, with 31 located in Italy and 22 in the United States.

At the same ceremony, other distinctions were awarded. Daniel Semrani of Sydney’s Gigi's earned Pizzaiolo of the Year, while Pomodori from São Paulo’s QT Pizza Bar was named Pizza of the Year. London’s 50 Kalò received recognition for the best fried pizza.
Separately, Tripadvisor’s restaurant rankings spotlighted Argentina’s Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires as the world’s best restaurant. Known for its open-fire asado steaks, Fogón Asado was followed by KOMA Singapore in second place and The Rhythms Restaurant in Hanoi in third.
