Potential Misconduct at Kyiv Mobile Checkpoint
Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Fedienko has reported potential procedural violations during the operation of a mobile checkpoint in Kyiv. The incident involved personnel from the police and a Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). Fedienko highlighted the law enforcement officers' lack of proper identification and their failure to comply with regulations mandating the use of body cameras.
The MP stated that a police officer was not wearing a badge and that his body camera was not operational.
"The police officer had no badge, meaning he likely hid it, and his body camera was not working," Fedienko commented.He also noted that the TRC representative was not in official uniform, had no identification, and was wearing a balaclava. "The recruitment center representative was not in statutory uniform, had no identifying insignia, no body camera, and wore a balaclava," the parliamentarian added.
Use of Private Vehicles by Recruitment Officials
Furthermore, Fedienko expressed confusion over the TRC's use of a private minibus.
"I also did not understand on what basis the recruitment center was using a private minibus," he pointed out.According to new regulations effective September 1, 2025, TRCs must conduct all their raids exclusively using video recording equipment. Military personnel involved in mobilization activities face administrative liability for non-compliance with the law.
David Arakhamia, head of the 'Servant of the People' parliamentary faction, also commented on the situation, stating that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had not spoken about the forced mobilization of MPs.
