New Simulator Lets Users Practice Handling Whistleblower Reports
The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), in partnership with the Anti-Corruption Unit of the National Police of Ukraine, has launched a practical simulator designed to walk users through the process of reviewing reports submitted via the Unified Whistleblower Portal. Currently operating in test mode, this tool was developed based on feedback and suggestions gathered from the portal's users.
This simulator is strictly a learning resource and does not replicate the actual interface of the Unified Whistleblower Portal's official dashboards. Its primary aim is to allow users to rehearse the receipt and registration of reports coming in through both the portal and other legally defined channels. Trainees can explore the standard workflow for handling such submissions, test the system's core functions in a safe educational environment, examine typical real-world scenarios, and receive helpful guidance on processing reports.
Future Updates and the Simulator's Broader Impact
The NACP plans to continuously improve the simulator by adding new features, more practical case studies, and fixing any bugs that are identified. This ongoing development is intended to make the reporting process more efficient and to better prepare users for their roles.
Launching this simulator marks a significant step forward in strengthening Ukraine's system for managing corruption-related reports. It not only helps upgrade the skills of those who handle these reports but also promotes greater openness and transparency in anti-corruption efforts. Initiatives like this can help build public trust in state institutions, as effectively responding to whistleblower disclosures is a cornerstone of the country's fight against corruption.
In addition to the simulator, the NACP has also released a comprehensive guide on reporting procedures, which aims to further enhance understanding of the mechanisms available for whistleblowers. This guide complements the simulator by providing essential information on how to effectively navigate the reporting landscape and ensures that users are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities in the fight against corruption.
