Odesa Under Attack
On the night of April 27, Russian forces launched an assault on Odesa, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure. Ten people, among them two children, sought medical help as a result. The heaviest damage occurred in the Prymorskyi district, where apartment buildings, a hotel, and sites in the city center were hit.
The attack also affected the Khadzhybeiskyi and Kyivskyi districts, with strikes hitting:
- multi-story residential buildings;
- private homes;
- vehicles.
Damage was reported to an apartment building, a hotel structure, and private cars. In total, over 250 emergency and municipal workers were deployed to manage the aftermath.
Local authorities coordinated the response, including Serhiy Lisak, head of the Odesa Military Administration, and Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration. The attack was carried out using drones, causing significant destruction and raising alarm among residents.
This strike is part of an ongoing conflict that continues to severely impact civilians, especially in regions frequently subjected to bombardment.
It highlights the urgent need to safeguard infrastructure and ensure public safety during wartime. The swift reaction from local officials and emergency services demonstrates efforts to address threats and protect lives.
