Germany refuses military assistance for Ukraine

The German government has decided not to send troops to Ukraine, even after discussing the possibility of deploying the Bundeswehr as a security guarantee at a summit in Berlin with U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the BILD publication, Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil concluded that Germany sees its role primarily in financial and military-technical support for Ukraine, rather than sending military forces.

'Due to Trump's refusal to join such a mission, discussions about a peacekeeping mandate have been suspended'

The German government feels responsible for the Ukrainian army and is ready, after a possible ceasefire, to take on part of the payments to servicemen, conduct training for fighters, and support the development of defense production in Ukraine in collaboration with German companies.

Support and accusations against Putin

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of daily attacks and diversions aimed at destabilizing Europe.

After discussing the possibility of military assistance to Ukraine at the summit in Berlin, representatives of Germany decided not to send their troops to our country. Instead, they will provide financial and military-technical support, and also accuse the Russian president of conducting attacks on Europe.
