The chairman of the parliamentary committee on education, science, and innovations, Sergey Babak, published an analysis of the results of the National Multi-Subject Test of 2025. According to him, this year, applicants showed weak results in natural sciences but impressive successes in the humanities.
Only 0.39% of applicants failed the Ukrainian language, and 0.16% failed the history of Ukraine. Mathematics was mastered the best: 38.5% of participants received the maximum score. However, 11.73% did not pass mathematics, which is a negative indicator. Among natural sciences, physics and chemistry showed the worst results.
The situation with natural sciences turned out to be less encouraging. Even though not many students choose physics and chemistry, the percentage of those who did not meet the benchmark remains high.
Biology and geography performed well since they were chosen by the majority of applicants. Almost all applicants passed English, even though it is an optional subject. Babak's conclusion is that successful test taking is possible with proper motivation and support.
The Importance of Investment in Education
Sergey Babak emphasized the need for funding modern educational environments, particularly school laboratories, educational materials, and teacher training. He stressed that this will help improve results and prepare qualified specialists.
“I hope our financial support for natural science classrooms will contribute to this,” Babak emphasized.
Participants of the NMT-2025 test demonstrated efficiency and speed in completing tasks, indicating their preparation and capabilities. All tasks were completed faster than planned, which is a good indicator of the quality of education in the country.
Sergey Babak analyzed the results of the National Multi-Subject Test of 2025. Weak results were identified in natural sciences, but impressive successes were noted in the humanities. A call for investment in improving the educational environment for training qualified specialists was made.
