Ukrainian Athletes Shine in June
On July 1, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine announced its Athletes of the Month for June. The honors were awarded during a meeting of the NOC's Expert Commission, with Liudmyla Luzan (canoeing) and Yelyzaveta Pyvovarova (skeet shooting) taking top spots.
Liudmyla Luzan, a four-time European champion in canoe sprint, delivered exceptional performances at competitions in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal. She claimed victory in the women's C-1 200m and 500m events, as well as the C-2 500m and 200m alongside partner Anastasiia Rybachok. This marks Luzan's third time receiving this recognition, following previous wins for June 2023 and August 2025. Her personal coach, Mykola Matsapura, was named Coach of the Month for June.
Yelyzaveta Pyvovarova earned a bronze medal at the World Junior Shotgun Championships in the skeet discipline, held in Suhl, Germany. This achievement is historic: it is Ukraine's first-ever medal at a Junior World Championships in skeet shooting. Her personal coach, Yurii Vashchuk, was selected as Coach of the Month for the young athlete.

The quarterfinal pairings for the Billie Jean King Cup are as follows:
- Italy vs. China
- Ukraine vs. Belgium
- Kazakhstan vs. Spain
