Assault on a Nova Poshta Branch
A Russian drone struck Nova Poshta branch No. 300 in the village of Lymanka, Odesa Oblast, completely burning the building to the ground. No company employees were injured in the attack. Emergency responders from the State Emergency Service and police are on site assessing the aftermath of the incident.
Logistics routes have already been rerouted, and a mobile branch is expected to be set up in the nearby area soon. The company Nova Poshta has also stated that it will compensate customers for the declared value of destroyed shipments.
“We will contact each customer shortly to provide details on compensation,” the company’s press service said.
Other Incidents and the Company’s Response
Additionally, on May 25 at around 5:30 a.m., a guided aerial bomb struck and damaged Nova Poshta branch No. 11 in Kramatorsk. Employees there also escaped unharmed. Due to the security situation, the Nova Poshta branch in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, is being closed.
“Assessment of the attack’s consequences is ongoing. Detailed information about the condition of cargo will be determined after the fire is fully extinguished,” Nova Poshta’s press service reported.
This incident underscores the ongoing threat to civilian infrastructure in Ukraine amid the conflict. Drone strikes on logistics hubs can severely disrupt supply chains and public services, forcing companies to adapt rapidly. Nova Poshta is actively responding to minimize the impact on its customers and ensure service continuity in affected regions.
In light of the recent attack on the Nova Poshta facility in Lymanka, it is important to note that just weeks earlier, a similar incident occurred at a different branch. A guided bomb hit Nova Poshta in Kramatorsk, trapping approximately 20% of parcels under debris. This pattern of assaults highlights the escalating risks that logistic services face in Ukraine.
