The Dutch investigation of the tragedy that occurred in 2014 in Donetsk region has been completed, and the Public Prosecution Service of the Netherlands presented its findings.
According to the report, the Malaysian aircraft, a 'Boeing', which was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and crashed in Donetsk, was shot down by a Russian missile fired from a 'Buk' system, also of Russian origin. The group of criminalists conducting the thorough investigation calls this fact indisputable.
Considering the above, it is most likely that the 'Boeing' was shot down by Russian citizens.
The 'Buk' system, according to the investigation, was brought to Ukrainian territory from the Russian Federation shortly before the tragic incident. It could have been operated by both Russians and militants under their control. This conclusion was reached by the Dutch prosecution after reviewing photographs, videos, and eyewitness accounts of the tragedy. Analysts involved in the investigation processed more than 1 million videos, photos, and documents.
At this time, it is necessary to find suspects involved in the crime that resulted in the death of 298 people on board the 'Boeing'. The circle of suspects needs to be studied, and evidence proving their guilt in committing this crime must be found.
It is reported that the Dutch investigation has been continuously hindered, including through cyber attacks. Computers of the Dutch prosecution and police were constantly hacked. All laptops and various gadgets used in Ukraine were infected with dangerous spyware.
Recall that the crash of the Malaysian 'Boeing' occurred on July 17, 2014, in Donetsk region. All passengers and crew members died. The resonant tragedy was taken under the control of international groups of specialists.
An earlier investigation by the Dutch prosecution had already provided its assessment of the incident; the preliminary report on the tragedy established that the 'Boeing' was operational and crashed due to being hit by several objects. As a result, it disintegrated in the air high above the ground.
Who fired the missile at the innocent aircraft remained unknown. The militia denied any involvement and blamed the Ukrainian army for the tragedy. The American State Department, after analyzing the situation, considered the separatists guilty and placed the blame on Russian President Putin. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, in turn, was convinced that the attack over the territory of Donetsk region was carried out by militants.
