Shelling of Odesa on December 27: The operational headquarters coordinates the elimination of the consequences

In Odesa, work continues to eliminate the destruction caused by the shelling that occurred on December 27. As a result of the attack, social infrastructure facilities were damaged. An operational headquarters has been organized to assist the residents of the city.

The head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that as a result of the strikes, social infrastructure facilities were damaged. No information on casualties or injuries had been received at the time of the report. However, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, noted that seven people were killed and fifteen were injured. The target of the enemy was a port infrastructure facility.

Ongoing security threat

We remind you that on the night of December 13, Russian terrorists also attacked Odesa with missiles, resulting in six people being injured, including two children. This indicates an ongoing threat to the safety of the city and its residents.

As part of the elimination of the consequences of the shelling, an operational headquarters and a heating point for residents have been organized. Consultations are also underway regarding the registration of compensation under the state program 'eRecovery'. Residents are receiving information about municipal support measures for housing reconstruction. It is important that clarifications from representatives of relevant services are needed to assist in the restoration of damaged facilities.

This shelling is yet another confirmation of the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, particularly in the Odesa region, where attacks on social infrastructure are becoming more frequent. - Source: local administration
