Ideological Pressure on Youth in Occupied Territories
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are intensifying ideological pressure on youth by signing an agreement with the 'Yunarmiya' movement for military-patriotic education of children. The Center for Counteracting Disinformation reports this agreement between the local pseudo-ministry of education and the Russian 'Yunarmiya' movement. It is known that more than 250 minors from the region have already joined this organization.
Occupational administrations use social services for repression against local children. In Henichesk, the 'Commission for Juvenile Affairs' has become a punitive body, indicating an increase in pressure on youth. Additionally, Russian authorities have begun active Russification of children in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In senior groups of kindergartens, classes on 'language development' have been introduced to teach the Russian language, highlighting the efforts to change the linguistic and cultural identity of children.
Exploitation of Youth in Occupied Regions
Furthermore, in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, plans are underway to create a youth Stakhanov movement, which could serve as an additional tool for ideological education. Students from Russia-controlled pseudo-universities will also be forcibly sent to work at industrial sites, indicating a systematic approach to the exploitation of youth in occupied regions. Thus, Russia continues to implement its strategies aimed at forming a loyal generation in the occupied territories.
This situation indicates serious violations of the rights of children and youth under occupation, as well as attempts to manipulate their consciousness. It is important to note that such actions may have long-term consequences for future generations, exacerbating the divide between Ukrainian and Russian society. Given these circumstances, the international community must pay attention to human rights violations in the occupied regions and take measures to protect them.
