Hovhannes Schanyan, who avoided serving a sentence for drug offenses by joining the army, was captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the war in Ukraine. He caught the attention of a saleswoman in a store when he paid with a Russian card and was detained. He shared this story in the project 'I Want to Find'.
After receiving a combat assignment, Schanyan along with Russian troops came under fire and lost their way. Coming into contact with the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they became prisoners, which revealed their situation on Ukrainian territory.
