The representative of the government in the parliament, Taras Melnychuk, announced that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted two new draft laws numbered 14025 and 14026 for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. These laws concern the taxation of citizens' income from the sale of goods and services through online platforms.

The Ministry of Finance, along with the tax service, has been working on the details of these laws for a long time, and now they have finally submitted them for the deputies' consideration. In particular, it is planned to introduce two tax rates for individual income: a preferential rate of 5% and a standard rate of 18%. This is an important step towards increasing transparency and fiscal discipline in the electronic trading segment.

The draft law also stipulates that platform operators will report on the income of their seller users and assist them in paying taxes. The innovation will simplify life for many entrepreneurs and make electronic business in Ukraine more attractive.

Overall, there are plans to improve the taxation system of online trading, which will have a positive impact on the business environment of the country and contribute to the development of this sector of the economy.
