The End of 'Adult Girls'
The collaborative project 'Adult Girls' by Olya Polyakova and Maria Efrosinina is wrapping up. Their last joint performance is scheduled for June 6 in Odesa. Launched in 2021, the initiative ran for five and a half years. It is closing due to the participants’ limited availability as they focus on their individual careers. Both the performers and the project’s producer have confirmed that there was no conflict between them.
Music producer Mykhailo Yasynskyi, who works with Olya Polyakova, exclusively shared the news of the project’s closure. He pointed out that packed schedules, a lack of time, and a shift in focus toward their own ventures influenced the women’s decisions.
“This is already history, and I’m glad it happened. There’s no conflict, and anyone interested can attend their joint performance on June 6 in Odesa,” Yasynskyi stated.
Commercial Success of the Project
'Adult Girls' proved to be a commercially viable format, generating significant revenue, according to Yasynskyi.
“It would be strange to invest money, time, energy, and effort for five and a half years in just an image-building project. After the success it saw from its early episodes, it remained commercial throughout and brought in quite substantial income,” he noted.
Additionally, following the onset of the full-scale invasion, the project launched a touring component, which also gained popularity.
The project’s stars, Olya Polyakova and Maria Efrosinina, confirmed its closure in a joint statement. Notably, 'Adult Girls' included episodes published on YouTube and became a significant part of the media landscape in recent years.
Both Olya Polyakova and Maria Efrosinina have personal lives: Olya is married to businessman Vadym Buryakovsky, and Maria to Timur Khromaev. Commenting on the situation, Vadym Buryakovsky referred to Maria Efrosinina’s husband as a “mazhor” (a term for a privileged person), prompting Olya Polyakova to publicly apologize for her husband’s remarks.
The closure of 'Adult Girls' marks a notable event in Ukrainian show business, and fans have the chance to attend the final performance in Odesa.
The end of 'Adult Girls' highlights shifts in the careers of its participants, as both artists have chosen to concentrate on their own projects. Over its five and a half years, the initiative became a key part of Ukraine’s media scene, drawing a broad audience and achieving commercial success. The final show will not only conclude their joint work but also offer fans an opportunity to celebrate the project’s accomplishments.
