Pavlo Vyšebaba and Anzhelika's Engagement
Ukrainian serviceman, poet, and musician Pavlo Vyšebaba has announced his engagement to Anzhelika after a courtship lasting just three months. The proposal took place on the shore of a body of water at sunset while Pavlo was serving on the Eastern front of Ukraine. His comrades from the 'Minotaur' mortar battery were present to witness the significant moment.
Their relationship began with a conversation about animals. Anzhelika, who previously lived on a farmstead in the Ternopil region, was caring for a sizable menagerie:
- 12 cats,
- 7 dogs,
- 4 goats,
- 9 chickens.
Recalling how they met, Pavlo noted:
“Not long ago, I was sitting in a basement near Pokrovsk when a cat wandered in. I decided to name it after the goat Alaska and wrote to Anzhelika about it. That's how our dialogue began.”
Pavlo Vyšebaba's Personal Life
This will be Pavlo Vyšebaba's second marriage. In 2015, he wed Inna Teslenko, a journalist from Mariupol. Their wedding is notable for being the first in Ukraine to be officially registered via an online application to the civil registry office. Their daughter, Zoreslava, was born in 2016, but the couple divorced in 2022. Inna Teslenko has publicly alluded to infidelity by her ex-husband, allegations which Pavlo has denied.
Describing his proposal, Pavlo confessed:
“I got down on one knee with the ring. I don't know why I was sure she would say 'yes,' since we had only known each other for three months. Sometimes you feel so deeply and completely that this is your person, and there's no point in waiting.”
This engagement marks a major personal milestone for serviceman Pavlo Vyšebaba, providing a bright moment amid his duties on Ukraine's Eastern front. The story highlights how personal lives continue to unfold for soldiers even during demanding service. The involvement of his fellow soldiers underscores the profound camaraderie and emotional support that sustains troops in wartime, showing how personal bonds can become a source of strength and inspiration during difficult times.
