On Wednesday, July 23, the first service of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine took place in the caves of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra under the leadership of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Epiphanius. He emphasized that the Lavra is a sacred place due to the feats of the venerable fathers and their prayers.

Bishop Epiphanius noted that Ukrainian prayer has already been heard in the upper Lavra for more than two years, and this has become the first step towards the permanent presence of the OCU in the lower part of the shrine. He hopes that the mentioned prayers will be heard regularly, allowing visitors to pray before the holy relics.

During the service, prayers were said for both the Ukrainian people and the soldiers defending the state. The Metropolitan emphasized the importance of spiritual struggle and faith in the irreversibility of the process of returning the Lavra to the Ukrainian Church. Representatives of the National Preserve 'Kyiv Pechersk Lavra' also participated in this holy prayer ceremony.

An exhibition titled 'Holy Trinity, Glory to You' has opened at the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, featuring over thirty exhibits dedicated to the image of the Most Holy Trinity. Restoration of the large iconostasis of this cathedral has also begun with financial support from the Charitable Foundation 'Ukrainian Lavra'.
