Social Payment Funding Update as of July 17, 2023
As of July 17, 2023, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has disbursed a total of UAH 68.8 billion. This amount covers pensions, housing subsidies, insurance payouts, and other social assistance. During July, the Fund delivered 824,700 services to citizens.
Breakdown of Disbursements
Pension payments alone account for UAH 54.6 billion of the total. Of this sum:
- UAH 8.2 billion was distributed via JSC Ukrposhta;
- UAH 46.4 billion was channeled through authorized banks.
Housing subsidies and benefits received UAH 1.3 billion. Insurance payouts reached UAH 2.5 billion, with UAH 1.1 billion specifically allocated for sick leave compensation. An additional UAH 10.4 billion was directed toward social assistance and other payments.
This funding underscores the government’s commitment to maintaining social safety nets during economic uncertainty. The Pension Fund’s operations are vital for protecting vulnerable populations who rely on state support. The distribution through both Ukrposhta and banking institutions ensures that resources remain accessible across different regions and demographics.
