Ukrainians were explained who needs to verify their identity to receive state payments, reports 'Hvylya', citing the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

  • Those who lived in regions before the war began, where there was no opportunity to receive assistance from social services.

  • Those who have not updated their documents for receiving assistance since February 24, 2022.

Required documents for physical identification

All these rules are defined in two government resolutions from June 2025 (No. 695 and No. 765). They concern people who do not have the right to a pension, recipients of care assistance, disabled individuals since childhood, and children with disabilities.

How to confirm your identity

  • In person - come to any office of the Pension Fund with a passport and a document about your place of residence.

  • Online - through the Pension Fund portal using the electronic signature 'Diia.Sign'.

  • Via video call - register on a special web portal of the Pension Fund.

  • Abroad - contact the Ukrainian consulate to confirm your presence.

Important note

If your payments are stopped in September 2025, you need to personally contact the Pension Fund with an application and documents to restore the receipt of assistance.

Previously, the Pension Fund explained how pensioners abroad can obtain the necessary certificate.

In connection with the new rules of physical identification for receiving state payments, Ukrainians should carefully monitor updates and timely provide the necessary documents to receive assistance from the Pension Fund.
