On October 26, 2025, Ukrainians will set their clocks back to winter time. On the last Sunday of October at 04:00, the clocks will be turned back by one hour to 03:00. This means that on the night from Saturday to Sunday, you can sleep an extra hour.

Impact on public transport and medical recommendations

Passengers of rail and public transport should take the time change into account in their plans. The schedule of trains and city transport will be adjusted according to the new time.

Ukraine uses a single Kyiv time (UTC+2), despite the fact that the territory of the state actually spans three time zones. Smartphones, computers, and other electronic devices will change the time automatically. However, mechanical and wall clocks will need to be adjusted manually.

Doctors recommend preparing for the time change in advance - one to two weeks before the transition. For easier adaptation of the body, it is advised to take calm evening walks, gradually shift the bedtime to an earlier time, and choose light dishes for dinner.

During the transition to winter time, this may affect public transport and the need to prepare the body for the new regime. Doctors advise getting ready in advance to adapt more easily to the change.
