Ukraine's First Affordable Mortgage Forum

Ukraine will host its inaugural Affordable Mortgage Forum on March 31, 2026, focusing on the nation's post-war housing challenges. The event is organized by Ukrfinzhytlo, the operator of the eOselia program, and the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine. This forum aims to create a platform for critical discussions on housing for military personnel, strategies to encourage youth to remain in the country, urban reconstruction, new construction development, and attracting investment to the sector.

Planned attendees include representatives from:

  • The Government
  • The National Bank of Ukraine
  • Commercial banks
  • Real estate developers
  • International partners

Forum partners include the National Association of Banks of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Developers, leading banks, developers, and international companies. Interfax-Ukraine will serve as the information partner. While online participation is free, in-person attendance is by invitation only due to limited space.

Forum Agenda

The forum's agenda will feature candid market discussions, presentations on new financial instruments, the signing of key agreements, and the unveiling of innovative mortgage solutions, including a 'mortgage-in-a-smartphone' concept. Registration details will be published at a later date.

The Affordable Mortgage Forum represents a crucial step in rebuilding Ukraine's housing sector after the war. It is expected to drive investment and foster new financial tools that can improve housing access for various population groups, particularly youth and veterans.

In the context of post-conflict recovery, initiatives like this are vital for economic stabilization and improving living conditions for Ukrainians. The forum underscores the government's commitment to addressing one of the most pressing social issues following the war.

As the Affordable Mortgage Forum approaches, it's essential to consider the ongoing efforts in the housing sector, such as the recent successes of the eOselia Initiative, which has already granted substantial mortgages to numerous Ukrainians. These initiatives highlight the urgent need for innovative financial solutions and community support as the nation rebuilds after the conflict.
