The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law regulating the use of benefits for drivers with disabilities. The changes involve establishing strict requirements for obtaining the right to special advantages.
Now, to use the benefits, drivers must have a distinguishing sign 'Driver with a Disability' on their vehicle with a unique electronic identifier in the form of a QR code. This rule applies to both drivers with disabilities and passengers who transport them.
The new draft law implements comprehensive changes in the control system. The QR code will serve as electronic evidence of the presence of a person with a disability in the vehicle. Law enforcement officers will be able to verify the information using paper or electronic documents.
An important aspect is that it is now impossible to use benefits, such as free parking, without the proper distinguishing sign. Penalties and increased legal liability are provided for violators.
The government has approved new rules for the use of benefits for drivers with disabilities, which include the introduction of QR codes to confirm the right to special advantages and the introduction of penalties for violators of the system.
