The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, continues his successful operations in the Donetsk region, focusing on the activities of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He has sent reports to field commanders regarding the current situation and pressing needs. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing Syrskyi's post on Telegram.

«Key issues: securing logistics, actions of assault groups to drive the enemy out of urban development. We are reinforcing the troops with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned systems», – the statement says.

The defenders are increasing pressure on the Bakhmut salient, resulting in liberation and clearing of territories, complicating the concentration of enemy forces in the Pokrovsk area.

Assault units are advancing

Assault units in the Bakhmut salient continue to move forward in certain directions. Overall, during the operation, they have liberated 188 square kilometers of territory and cleared 248.7 square kilometers of enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups.

«Combat operations to destroy the occupiers continue», – Syrskyi noted.

According to a report from DeepState analysts, the situation in Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is complex and unstable. The city is not fully under enemy control, but active fighting continues between Ukrainian and Russian forces.

Concentration of Russian troops around Pokrovsk

The Russian Federation has concentrated over 100,000 occupiers around Pokrovsk, making the city the main target of the winter campaign. Analysts note that even if the city is captured, it will not bring a strategic turning point in the war.

Oleksandr Syrskyi is actively managing operations in the Donetsk region, emphasizing the importance of securing logistics, the actions of assault groups, and strengthening forces with additional units and equipment. The concentration of Russian troops around Pokrovsk indicates serious intentions of the enemy, and there are also reports of active clashes on the front line.
