Identity of the Victim at Ternopil Military Recruitment Center Confirmed
Authorities have identified the man found dead at the Ternopil Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC). The deceased was a native of Luhansk Oblast, born in 1980, who lived in Kharkiv before the full-scale invasion but relocated to Ternopil in 2022. He rented an apartment but was not registered as an internally displaced person. Close relatives reside in temporarily occupied territory, a factor being considered as investigators explore all possible leads, according to Serhii Ziubanenko.

During the investigation, a search of the victim's apartment yielded nearly 200,000 Ukrainian hryvnias, a small amount of foreign currency (including Russian rubles), four mobile phones, and a package of 9mm pistol cartridges. Preliminary expert findings suggest these rounds may match the caliber of the bullet fired in the Ternopil TCC restroom. The man shot himself with a weapon modified from a Fort-14 combat pistol.
