Poland increased the number of deportations of foreigners
In 2025, Poland significantly increased the number of deportations of foreigners who violate the law. In the first half of the year, 4,400 individuals were expelled from the country, which is 400 more than in the same period in 2024. Overall, since the beginning of the year, 1,100 individuals have been forcibly sent abroad, the same number as in the entire previous year.
Among the citizens listed in the register of unwanted persons, the largest number comes from Ukraine, Georgia, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus, and Russia. Recently, 15 Ukrainian citizens were deported from Poland for violating the law and are banned from returning for 5-10 years due to various offenses.
'We must account for our taxpayers' money, and there is no reason for convicted foreigners to sit in our prisons,' said General Adam Rapacki, former Deputy Head of Poland's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The 'zero tolerance' policy towards foreigners who violate the law is a reaction to the massive uncontrolled influx of migrants into the country in recent years, experts explain.
Poland is actively increasing the number of deportations of foreigners who violate the law due to the influx of large migration flows. In particular, there is a noticeable increase in the number of expulsions of Ukrainians among the unwanted individuals.
