Poland prepares thousands of vacancies for 2026: where the greatest chances are for Ukrainians
At the beginning of 2026, the Polish labor market is expected to see a revival, as more than a third of employers plan to actively hire new employees in the first quarter. According to surveys, 36% of employers in Poland intend to fill their vacancies, while 47% of companies do not plan changes in staff. However, 13% of companies are still considering layoffs.
Hiring forecast by sectors
The highest number of job offers is expected in the automotive industry, finance, insurance, trade, and logistics. The northern voivodeships of Poland will become regions with the greatest demand for workers. Among companies planning to hire, the highest net hiring forecast is recorded in enterprises with 50 to 249 employees (+32%). There is also a significant hiring forecast for companies with 250 to 999 employees (+27%) and corporations with over 5000 employees (+19%). Small businesses have a hiring forecast of +14%, while microbusinesses have +11%.
During the first nine months of 2025, 49% of Ukrainians worked as workers in warehouses and logistics centers. The rest of the candidates chose agricultural work and food processing (11.2%), worked in unskilled jobs in industry (9.96%), performed technical unskilled jobs (9.5%), and worked in meat and fish processing (9.47%).
The labor market is increasingly favorable to workers, says Sylwia Pezina.
Thus, Ukrainians have good opportunities for employment in Poland. The top 5 most popular areas for Ukrainians include:
- packers and sorters in warehouses
- agricultural work
- unskilled labor in industry
- technical unskilled jobs
- meat and fish processing
The expected increase in demand for labor in Poland in 2026 may be an important signal for Ukrainians looking for job opportunities abroad. The growth of vacancies in various sectors, particularly in logistics and agriculture, indicates the stability of the Polish labor market. This opens new opportunities for Ukrainian workers who traditionally occupy these positions and may influence the further development of bilateral economic relations.
