Top Jobs for Ukrainian Workers in Poland's 2026 Labor Market
According to Halyna Kyrychenko, Vice President of the international recruitment firm Gremi Personal, several professions will be in high demand for Ukrainian workers in Poland by 2026. She noted that in 2025, Ukrainian refugees will find it easiest to secure work in specific sectors, and that even without Polish language skills, opportunities exist in low-skilled roles. The selection process for candidates by Polish employers can take between 50 and 100 days. This forecast comes as Poland continues to integrate a significant Ukrainian workforce following the Russian invasion.
In-Demand Professions
The professions projected to be most popular in 2026 include:
- Warehouse workers
- Construction workers
- Processing industry workers
- Hospitality (HoReCa) staff
- Retail workers
- IT specialists
- Engineers and machine builders
- Automation and production maintenance specialists
Kyrychenko highlighted that Poland maintains a strong demand for unskilled warehouse labor, with vacancies in order picking, packing, and general warehouse duties, as well as temporary positions in food production and the agricultural sector. She also emphasized that permanent physical jobs not requiring high qualifications are accessible without language proficiency.
Consequently, Ukrainians planning to work in Poland can expect a wide range of opportunities across various fields, which will undoubtedly aid integration and the development of the country's labor potential.
Given Poland's forecasted growing demand for labor, Ukrainians may find new employment prospects amid instability in Ukraine's domestic job market. This could positively impact Ukraine's economic situation, as remittances from workers abroad can help stabilize financial flows and support local business development. However, knowledge of the Polish language remains a crucial factor, opening more professional doors for Ukrainian workers.
