Sentences Handed Down in Matthew Perry Death Case
A Los Angeles court has issued sentences to multiple individuals tied to the October 2023 death of actor Matthew Perry. Kenneth Iwamasa, who worked as Perry’s assistant, received a prison term, while Jasveen Sangha—often referred to as the 'Ketamine Queen'—was sentenced to 15 years behind bars. Dr. Mark Chavez has pleaded guilty in the case.
Iwamasa was convicted for conspiring to distribute the ketamine that ultimately killed the 54-year-old actor. He administered the injection that led to the overdose. Perry’s body was discovered in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. The court handed Iwamasa a federal prison sentence of three years and five months, with a surrender date set for July 17. A total of five people have been charged in this case.
