Over 2 million summons through Ukrposhta: how the work of TCC will change in 2024

Понад два мільйони повісток через Укрпошту: як зміниться робота ТЦК у наступному році.

Summons through 'Ukrposhta' in 2023

The head of the Main Department of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Defense, Oleg Berestovyi, announced the number of summons sent through 'Ukrposhta' in 2023 and plans for 2024. In 2023, over 2 million summons were sent automatically through this postal service. In 2024, the Ministry of Defense plans to continue this practice, also sending more than 2 million summons.

Appeals to the Territorial Defense Centers

According to information, there are 4.2 million appeals related to offline visits to Territorial Defense Centers (TCC) every year, which do not concern mobilization. This indicates that most appeals can be resolved through online services or Administrative Service Centers (ASC). Oleg Berestovyi noted:

“TCC during the war should only deal with those who will serve, all others can receive their services online or through ASCs.” - Oleg Berestovyi

It is worth noting that out of all the appeals received by TCC:

  • 500 thousand concern deferrals,
  • 150–180 thousand – registration,
  • 400 thousand – data verification,
  • 200 thousand – issuance of paper record documents,
  • 900 thousand – certificates of reservation,
  • over 2 million – marks for leave,
  • 400 thousand – obtaining travel permits,
  • thousands of appeals regarding certificates of service and business services.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense continues to optimize processes and adapt to the conditions of war.

The optimization of processes in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine indicates a desire to respond effectively to the challenges posed by military actions. The continuation of the practice of sending summons through 'Ukrposhta' indicates an attempt to reduce the burden on the Territorial Defense Centers and provide faster access to administrative services for citizens. This can significantly reduce queues and increase the efficiency of TCC work during wartime, contributing to better organization of mobilization processes.
