SvitloDIM: More Than 2,300 Households Secure Funding for Energy Autonomy
A total of 2,315 residential buildings have been financed under Ukraine’s SvitloDIM government initiative, with allocations exceeding 580 million UAH. The program attracted over 4,000 applications, of which the commission from the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reviewed 4,016. Ultimately, 2,315 proposals were approved, highlighting strong public interest in the project. This initiative is part of Ukraine's broader effort to enhance energy resilience amid ongoing infrastructure challenges.
Eleven banks have joined the program, providing the financial backing necessary to bring these projects to life. The initiative is jointly managed by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The most commonly selected equipment under the program includes:
- batteries,
- inverters,
- battery management systems.
These solutions enable households to operate independently without a constant reliance on fuel. The program also offers support for multi-apartment buildings, contributing to the country’s overall energy independence.

The SvitloDIM program represents a significant step toward energy self-sufficiency for Ukrainian households, especially given the current energy crisis. By involving banks in providing financial support, the initiative expands opportunities for citizens looking to invest in modern energy solutions. Its successful implementation could also pave the way for further renewable energy projects, reducing dependence on conventional energy sources.
