Over 7000 accusations of corruption have been received through the Unified Whistleblower Portal
The head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention's whistleblowing institute, Anastasia Renkas, reported that over 7,000 accusations of corruption have been received through the Unified Whistleblower Portal. In 132 cases, the whistleblower status has been confirmed, it was reported at a briefing at Ukrinform.
'The Unified Corruption Accusation Portal is a digital tool that allows accusations to be submitted anonymously, safely, and, accordingly, without bureaucratic barriers. To date, over 7,000 accusations have been received through the portal. The whistleblower status has been confirmed in 132 cases,' Renkas noted.
She pointed out that the most accusations of corruption regarding procurement, the reconstruction sector, and law enforcement have been received through the portal. 'We are currently observing a trend where people are concerned about how to make the reconstruction honest, how to ensure that public servants are honest, and how to safely speak about this (corruption),' she added.
Over 7000 corruption reports have been received through the Unified Whistleblower Portal, indicating an increase in citizen activism in the fight against this negative phenomenon. Whistleblowers highlight corruption violations in procurement, the reconstruction sector, and the law enforcement system, reflecting the public's general interest in changing the corruption situation in the country.
