Zelensky on the agreement with France: Ukraine will receive reinforcement for air defense and aviation

Зеленський прокоментував угоду з Францією: Україна отримає нові можливості для зміцнення системи протиповітряної оборони та повітряних сил.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the continuation of cooperation with partners regarding the PURL program, which allows for the purchase of American weapons, including air defense systems and missiles for them. This information was shared by Glavkom.

Zelensky noted that the nighttime attack confirmed the effectiveness of the Patriot system from American partners, who successfully shot down Russian ballistic missiles. Ukraine is preparing to receive other robust air defense systems and reinforcement for aviation, having concluded an agreement with France on this basis. Additionally, there are plans for an agreement with Greece in the energy sector.

Earlier, Zelensky confirmed active cooperation with partners, particularly with the United States, to acquire additional Patriot systems. This is an important step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities in the face of aggression from Russia.

On the night of November 14, Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with missiles of various types and strike drones. 36 people were injured, six of them in serious condition, five in hospitals. Six residents of the capital died.

In response, headquarters were deployed in Kyiv to assist the victims of the attack, notably in the Desnyansky, Dniprovsky, Obolonsky, Podilsky, and Sviatoshynsky districts. The authorities are providing necessary assistance and support to those affected in this difficult situation.

Zelensky continues partnerships with the USA and other countries to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities in light of the worsening situation in the east of the country. He emphasizes the importance of acquiring modern defense systems and missile-air complexes to protect the nation from external aggression.
