Fire Erupts in Boryspil Region After Attack
Emergency crews have extinguished a large fire at an infrastructure site in the Boryspil district, ignited by a Russian drone assault. The flames spread across 2,000 square meters. During the night of June 4, Russian forces targeted an industrial facility, leaving one employee wounded.
A second strike on another infrastructure site in the same district also sparked a fire. This blaze broke out in the Pereiaslav area of Kyiv Oblast while an air raid siren was active, with explosions heard beforehand. Firefighters from the Kyiv region’s State Emergency Service, the Boryspil airport fire brigade, and other rapid response units were deployed to contain the flames.
Fallout from the Large-Scale Attack
Earlier, Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, reported that a fuel truck driver was injured during the Russian bombardment in Boryspil district. The enemy launched a massive assault on Kyiv Oblast, deploying attack drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. This barrage caused damage to:
- three individuals (injured)
- residential homes
- warehouse facilities
- business enterprises
- vehicles
This incident highlights the escalating threat to civilian infrastructure in Ukraine amid ongoing aggression. Strikes on industrial sites and critical facilities can have severe repercussions not only for the economy but also for the safety of local communities. Emergency services, which are actively responding to such events, underscore the need for heightened preparedness in wartime conditions.
The recent drone strike in the Boryspil district is part of a troubling trend, as highlighted by another incident in the Kyiv region where Russian drones targeted an industrial site, resulting in injuries.
