Poland closes borders for Ukrainians: what will happen to refugees after 2027

Польща обмежує в'їзд українців: які перспективи для біженців після 2027 року.

Poland is facing an issue of overpopulation by Ukrainians and acknowledges that it can no longer indefinitely open its doors to refugees. According to a representative of the president, the surplus of migrants complicates integration and leads to the formation of ghettos. Therefore, the country plans to focus on the adaptation of those Ukrainians already living there to avoid social problems.

At the same time, the European Union is preparing to end temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees in 2027. This will mean that those who wish to stay in the EU will have to meet certain conditions, as access to some services after this deadline will be restricted.
