Cases of forced conscription of Ukrainians
Lawyer Serhiy Starenkyi reported cases of forced conscription of Ukrainians to territorial recruitment centers (TCC) under the guise of voluntary appearance with the involvement of Volunteer Formation of the Territorial Community. According to him, people are dressed in military uniforms and their arrival is registered as voluntary. These actions raise concerns and indicate a systemic problem in the conscription process.
Problems and Consequences
Starenkyi notes that such practices may indicate criminal offenses committed by TCC employees. He emphasizes that if these are indeed people serving in the TCC and committing such actions, it concerns serious violations. At the same time, the lawyer points out the lack of response from the state to these violations, which increases risks for citizens.
The situation causes alarm among lawyers and human rights defenders, who call for urgent responses to such cases and ensuring legality in the conscription process.
These events underscore the importance of upholding citizens' rights during military conscription, especially in wartime. Human rights defenders and lawyers emphasize the need for urgent measures to prevent abuses by governmental structures.
The lack of response from the authorities may lead to further erosion of trust among the population in the conscription system and its legitimacy.
