When is Miners' Day in 2025?

In Ukraine, Miners' Day is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of August. In 2025, this holiday falls on August 31. The tradition of celebrating it was established in 1935 when the coal industry of the USSR experienced a period of active development.

After Ukraine gained independence, the tradition of celebrating Miners' Day was confirmed by a relevant decree from President Leonid Kravchuk. Since then, starting from 1993, this holiday has been celebrated every year to support and popularize the miners' work and their contribution to the development of the state.
