The final event of the Special Support Program for Ukraine by GIZ (SAP)/EU4ResilientRegions II, funded by the government of Germany and the European Union, took place in Kyiv. According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, the second phase of the program focuses on enhancing community resilience through infrastructure restoration and improving access to medical, administrative, and social services.

As part of the project, 17 infrastructure facilities have been restored – schools, hospitals, and centers for administrative services. Mobile medical clinics have been launched in 20 communities, allowing residents of remote villages and towns to receive medical assistance on-site. The project has contributed to improving social services for approximately 600 thousand people, including those from frontline areas, and has become an important step in overcoming disparities in regional development.

The program has helped the most vulnerable communities in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions, in security threat zones and close to the frontline. The program was implemented jointly with non-governmental organizations: the 'Brave to Restore' Charitable Foundation, 'Chance Club' NGO, 'Initiative Step' NGO, and 'Patients of Ukraine' Charitable Foundation, which served as intermediaries between international partners and communities.
