Funding Under the SvitloDim Program
As of March 4, the government's SvitloDim program has allocated over 174 million hryvnias in funding to 671 apartment buildings. The program was launched to help residents cope with frequent power outages caused by the ongoing war. More than 1,450 applications have been submitted from buildings housing over 247,000 families, with the Ministry of Development's commission reviewing 1,365 and approving 682 of them.
Of the 671 multi-apartment buildings that have already received funds, more than 460 are located in Kyiv and over 200 are in the Kyiv region. Co-owners can receive between 100 and 300,000 hryvnias in aid to purchase energy equipment for autonomous operation of lighting, water supply, heating, communications, and elevators. Batteries and inverters are the most commonly chosen items.
Program Goals and Demand for Support
The SvitloDim program aims to support residents of apartment buildings in improving energy independence and ensuring basic utility services during potential power outages. The high volume of applications submitted indicates strong and ongoing public demand for this type of assistance, underscoring the program's relevance in the current context.
It is crucial for the government to continue providing funding for the further development of initiatives that contribute to the population's energy security.
