One of the latest measures for psychological support for defenders of Ukraine is a session of canine therapy, during which injured soldiers had the opportunity to interact with a Labrador named Umka. Psychologists and police canine handlers organized the meeting, during which soldiers petted, played with, and even learned to manage their emotions while communicating with the animal.
Canine therapy helped reduce stress, restore emotional stability, and prepare soldiers for further work with specialists. This event was conducted as part of various projects, including the 'Psychological Practice Point', 'Mental Tutor', and the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program 'How are you?', initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
Through canine therapy, soldiers gained an opportunity for relaxation and support, which is of great importance for their physical and psychological health.
