The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that visits by American officials influence the intensity of Russian attacks on Ukraine. He made this statement in an interview with Newsmax.

According to Zelensky, the arrival of American General Keith Kellogg led to a lack of heavy shelling for two consecutive nights.

'General Kellogg arrived - and for two nights in a row, there were no massive bombings. This is a very interesting example. Both tonight and last night, there were no strong attacks,' he said.

Zelensky also noted that residents of Kyiv have already begun joking about it. 'Even people are joking, saying, we should give Kellogg a Ukrainian passport and leave him here so that Americans come more often, because then Russia will shell us less,' he shared.

Trump's Realization of Putin's Deception

Zelensky also reported that U.S. President Donald Trump realizes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is deceiving him. In July, Ukraine observed an improvement in relations with the United States. The president emphasized that Trump must recognize Putin's deception on his own. 'We had three dialogues with President Trump - each one better than the previous. We had a wonderful meeting at the NATO summit and two phone calls, during which several positive decisions were made regarding the defense of Ukraine, Europe, and security in general,' added Zelensky.

Let us recall that the President of Ukraine signed laws on dual citizenship, a tribunal for Russia, and anti-personnel mines.

In Volodymyr Zelensky's statement, it is indicated that visits by American officials influence the activity of Russian forces against Ukraine and also about President Trump's realization of the situation regarding Putin's deception. Furthermore, positive changes in relations between Ukraine and the U.S. are highlighted, where a number of joint dialogues took place and decisions were made on defense and security issues.
