The Verkhovna Rada did not support the appeal to President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the deprivation of citizenship of the elected people's deputy and mayor of Dobropillia Andrii Aksonov.

The VRU failed to vote on the appeal of people's deputy Roman Lozynskyi to the President of Ukraine concerning the termination of Andrii Aksonov's citizenship. This was reported by the MP on his Facebook page, according to the publication INKORR.com

It is worth reminding that the reason for initiating the deprivation of Aksonov's citizenship was the information about the presence of a Russian passport in the mayor of Dobropillia. Additionally, this notorious official was previously accused of facilitating the referendum, and is currently on trial for embezzlement of property.

According to Roman Lozynskyi, 63 members of parliament voted 'against' or 'abstained' during the voting.

“Think about it. Even 11 deputies from OPZZH supported this request. But among the 'servants'—only 135, which turned out to be insufficient. 63 deputies from the monobatch were against/abstained or did not vote. It’s quite acceptable for 63 deputies to have someone who welcomed the Russian army with bread and salt in 2014 swear 'loyalty to Ukraine',” wrote Roman Lozynskyi.

As for the members of parliament from Donetsk region, only Dmytro Lubinets (district No. 60) voted 'for'.

Musa Magomedov (district No. 45), Valerii Hnatenko (district No. 49), Yevhen Yakovenko (district No. 52), and Vadym Novynskyi (district No. 57) were absent. Oleksandr Kovalov (district No. 51) and Serhii Mahera (district No. 58) abstained.

Fedir Khrystenko (district No. 46), Yurii Solod (district No. 47), Maksym Yefimov (district No. 48), and Volodymyr Moroz (district No. 59) did not vote.

It is also noteworthy that recently MP Volodymyr Ariev reported that the Security Service of Ukraine does not currently possess information about Aksonov's Russian citizenship. At the same time, the MP published a screenshot from the website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, the data of which confirms the presence of a passport from the aggressor country in Andrii Aksonov.
