President’s Statement and International Support

Zelenskyy also stressed that each Russian strike underscores the insufficient pressure being applied to the aggressor. “Every day like this and every Russian attack proves that the pressure on the aggressor throughout this war has not been enough,” the president added. He further highlighted the critical importance of timely delivery of air defense systems, noting that “any delay in fulfilling agreements on air defense, any hesitation in supplying means to protect Ukraine and Ukrainians, effectively results in the loss of lives.”

On June 23, Russian forces also launched a drone attack on the Odesa region, killing one person in the city of Odesa. These incidents underscore Russia’s ongoing aggression and the urgent need for sustained international pressure to ensure Ukraine’s security.

This missile strike on Kryvyi Rih is the latest evidence of escalating violence by Russia, endangering the lives of civilians. President Zelenskyy continues to call for stronger international backing, particularly in air defense, to prevent further casualties. Given the current situation, it is vital that the global community maintains pressure on the aggressor and provides Ukraine with the resources it needs to protect its people.

The recent missile attack in Kryvyi Rih adds to the growing toll of casualties from ongoing Russian strikes across Ukraine. In light of these tragic events, President Zelenskyy has revealed the latest numbers from Kyiv and Dnipro, highlighting the urgent need for international support and robust air defense systems.
