Recovery Network Launches 19th Facility, Offering Free Care to Thousands of Ukrainian Veterans

Відкриття нового центру забезпечить безкоштовну допомогу для тисяч українських ветеранів.

New Rehabilitation Center Opens in Kyiv

The Recovery network, founded by Viktor and Olena Pinchuk, has inaugurated its 19th rehabilitation center, providing free services to military personnel. This new facility in Kyiv is the fourth in the Kyiv region and will offer free care to nearly a thousand service members annually. The network has become a vital support system for Ukrainian soldiers requiring medical treatment and recovery, a need that has grown significantly since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.

To date, Recovery centers have already treated over 43,000 patients. The new Kyiv center features advanced technologies, including virtual reality systems and biofeedback equipment. It also includes a 36-bed inpatient ward, expanding capacity to help more veterans.

Collaboration and Support

The establishment of this new center was supported by Kyiv's city authorities, notably through the initiative of Mayor Vitali Klitschko. This highlights the crucial collaboration between public and private sectors in supporting veterans. Furthermore, 6,500 medical professionals have participated in the project's educational programs, and international training internships have been organized in 11 countries, including Austria, the United States, and Sweden.

With the opening of our 19th center, Recovery is now the largest and most advanced network of physical rehabilitation centers in the country. To date, more than 43,000 of our heroes have undergone recovery here.

Viktor Pinchuk, Founder of the Recovery Network

Tetiana Osypchuk, a rehabilitation specialist, noted that 'rehabilitating soldiers is not just about treating an injury; it is primarily about the person, their needs, and their goals.' She emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that addresses the physical, psychological, and social consequences of war, helping restore functionality and reintegrate veterans into active life.

The Recovery network continues to expand, with centers now operating in:

  • Vinnytsia
  • Dnipro Region
  • Lutsk
  • Lviv
  • Odesa
  • Poltava
  • Rivne
  • Khmelnytskyi
  • Ternopil
  • Cherkasy
  • Chernihiv
  • Chernivtsi

The opening of this new center in Kyiv marks a significant step in supporting service members who need medical aid after combat injuries. It underscores the growing importance of rehabilitation services in Ukraine, which are increasingly critical amid the ongoing conflict. The cooperation between the state and private sector, along with the engagement of international expertise, demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of care and providing veterans with all they need to return to an active life.

In addition to the efforts made by the Recovery Network, the support for veterans continues to grow through various initiatives. For instance, Metinvest has recently expanded its rehabilitation programs, engaging over 400 participants in swimming activities aimed at enhancing their recovery journey. This collaboration highlights the collective commitment to improving the lives of those who have served.
